Gardener Village

I went with my friend Heidi and her girls to Gardener village to see the witches and walk around.  It was a lot of fun.  The kids and I  enjoyed looking at all the different witches.  I think Aidan's favorite was the giant one who crashed into the building.  Ember was probably the 'witchy poo' , she is sitting on the toilet, only because everyone else laughed.  I can't pick a favorite they are all so darn cute and clever.  There is no doubt we will go again next year.  Any excuse to go buy a little fudge.

We took a picture with this adorable witch, she even gave us her autograph.  Although I'm not sure if my kids were just sick of having their picture taken or a bit afraid of the poor little witch!

If you notice, Ember is running off in nearly every picture. (And these were the good ones!)  Boy, that little cutie keeps me on my toes.  No wonder I am so exhausted!

PHOTO TAG!

We got photo tagged!  Here's what you do: go to the fourth folder of your pictures, and post the fourth picture and tell about it!

This is a picture of our first Family trip to Disneyland and California Adventure. our oldest, Aidan is about 6 months old in this picture.  We thought it would be cute to take a picture in the A...for Aidan and Anthony. We liked it so much we did it again this year when we went in June.

Aren't my boys adorable!

Blog Stalk

I must admit, I love to blog stalk.  It can at times be such a reminder to how small the world really is.  You can catch up with old friends, in a round about sort of way. It is so fun to read what people are doing and get a little insight into their lives that you might not other wise be privy to.
One thing I have found especially remarkable is the amount of people who have borne their testimonies on their blogs in one way or another.  I have been so impressed.  More by some people then others.  It has been so refreshing to see individuals who may not have seemed to have a very strong conviction at one point and are now fully committed to the Gospel.  So it occurred to me, maybe I am that person to some of you.
I want to let you know that I know that God lives and loves each and everyone of us.  I know that He has a plan for us here on Earth.  I believe that God knows each of us personally and wants each of us to be happy and I also know that it is through Him that that is possible.  I am so grateful to Jesus Christ and for the atonement.   I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon and for the guide it can be for each of us in our lives.

Door bell ditching

I had my first doorbell ditching experience with my son the other night.  Of course, when I was young that is not what it was called.  That term is not PC...what did it even mean anyway? Who knows...
We had been given treats from the friendly Halloween ghost.  Which meant it was now our turn to secretly place goodies on a few of our friends doorsteps without being caught.  I thought this seemed like such a fun thing to do with Aidan.  I'm not sure that the girls are quite old enough to really grasp the concept so, it was just me and my boy.
I gave him a quick run down of the objective ahead.  I realized that he might be a little slow and since I could see our target just on the other side of the door, I made sure he got a little head start.  I told Aidan to run and pointed to our exit through the gate.  We only live a few doors down so there was no car to run to.  Once he was off, I placed the treats on the ground rang the doorbell and RAN.   Once I made it to safety, I looked around for Aidan...nothing.  I couldn't find him!!  I kept low frantically looking for him when suddenly, I hear his little footsteps. He was still in their yard!  I motioned him to me, grabbed him and heaved him over the fence.  Luckily, no one saw him.  Or at least, I don't think so.
We had so much fun on our 'secret operation'.  Next time I will be sure to be more clear on our rendezvous point.

Motherhood...a thankless job

As most of you are entirely aware, being a mom is both amazing and seemingly thankless.  It seems like even with all the countless hours we spend with our little ones, no one seems to really notice when you are doing a good job.  Of course, when you loose it a little, everyone seems aware.  Well, I just wanted to blog this recent rare experience.
I was at the grocery store with my 3 beautiful children.  I try to avoid shopping with my kids, however,  it is unavoidable.  I have 3 kids, the oldest is not quite 4 so, you can imagine that I often feel a bit like a circus side show.  My kids really are great but, sometimes they need help remembering that.  So, I am in line at the checkout when the guy next to me says, "Wow, I had to take 2 kids to the Doctors office today and I thought that was tough. You are..." I quickly interrupted him. "Insane?", I said.  "No I was going to say amazing."Ahhh I thought to myself, he just made my day.  It is funny how little things people say can make all the difference. Thank you whoever you are!

The power of a redhead

Lately, Tony has been telling me all sorts of different red head lore he has found on the Internet or where ever else.  One of the most recent is, that red heads have a higher pain tolerance then the average person (I think, he is trying to place a claim on possessing super human powers). Either way, our youngest daughter Eden is a red head, maybe not Tony red, but red nonetheless.
Last night we took her to get her little ears pierced. The place was pretty busy so we had to wait for a minute.  There was a woman in front of us who was also waiting to pierce hers.  We quickly found out she was very nervous and wanted our tiny baby to go first!  So, we did.  Eden was amazing!  She barely cried. It was more of a whimper really, and then she was done. Totally fine.  I hope she gave that woman some much needed courage. But, either way, she made a red head proud. And a little more sure that redheads are tough.

Total Mom Moment

Lately, I have found a couple of cleaning products I am absolutely in love with.  The first, many of you already know of, is Oxiclean.  I use the spray on stain remover.  It is fabulous.  I have been able to get off almost any stain my kids can find.  Grass stains, set-in stains, even chocolate (but, don't tell my mom).
The second is called Showers n stuff (thanks to my sis).  It is a bathroom cleaner.  It works  amazingly well on hard water stain...I mean amazing.  Cleaning with it is a breeze.

And then it was over...

Thanks to everyone for coming to Tony's party.  It was a lot of fun seeing everyone again.  Always a good excuse to get together and especially to get all dressed up.  There were lots of great pictures taken so I am really hoping someone will email Tony or I with some more pic's- we stole these from the Springers.  Many a dirty picture of both Trent and Wade...you know what I'm talking about. Hee hee

Us... where's Trent?

I know I know I know...where are they?

So I have been waiting to blog until after the party but, now it seems we have temporarily lost our cord that allows us to upload pictures. This of of course is especially heartbreaking because, no one can see any party pics!!! So I hate to leave you hanging but, I guess I must. However, anyone who has pics please email us so we won't disappoint our public. In the mean time I will search high and low for the cord.
